Membership Guidelines
Section 1 - Any person shall be eligible for membership in the Church providing:
A. He or she is at least 16 years of age. However, members shall not have the right to vote until they
reach the age of 18 years according to the laws of the State of Maine.
B. He or she meets the standard of membership as stated in Article 5 of the By-laws.
C. He or she has been converted for at least six (6) months.
D. He or she is in good standing and has had faithful weekly attendance with
the Church for at least three (3) months.
E. He or she has completed the church new membership class.

Section 2 - Any person meeting the conditions as stated above shall be a member of the Church until:
A. He or she dies.
B. He or she receives disciplinary action as set forth in Article 6 of the By-laws.
C. He or she is absent without good cause from the services of the Church for a period of
six (6) months and ceases the contribution of his/her means to its support.
D. He or she voluntarily resigns or requests transfer to another church.

Section 3 - Any member who may wish to be transferred to another church may apply to the church
Clerk for a letter which shall be granted on the approval of the Pastor and Board of Deacons. The said letter shall be mailed to the
church to which he/she is transferring.

Section 4 - Any person transferring to this church from another shall be granted full membership upon the receipt of a letter either from the
Pastor or the Clerk of the former church where he/she held membership. Immediate eligibility for office shall depend on whether or not
such office was held in the former church. In the absence of said letter, transferees shall be accepted through the regular channels.

Section 5 - The Pastor or Board of Deacons may make public announcement of new members at any of its church services or business
meetings of the organization. Such new members shall comply with such conditions, rules and regulations as may be set forth in these By-laws.
